Burger King, the famous fast food chain opened its first restaurant in Marcory, an Abidjan commune, in 2015. Since then, five other restaurants have opened in Abidjan: at the airport, Plateau, Cocody, Marcory, and Palmeraie. They plan to open four new restaurants every year.
Bolloré Logistics delivers a quality door-to-door logistics service which includes, for this operation, pre-carriage management, the transport of around a hundred refrigerated TEUs from Europe to the Abidjan port, transit operations, customs clearance and final delivery to the site. The Bolloré Logistics teams in Côte d’Ivoire made many investments to anticipate changes in the food service industry and to be in line with Burger King's expectations. A specialized refrigerated warehouse was built to store the American chain's frozen food products at -20° C.
Plus, Bolloré Logistics delivers to the 6 restaurants using a GPS-tracked dual-temperature refrigerated truck (- 20°C/+ 4°C). All of these operations are performed in compliance with the GFSI and HACCP international standards on hygiene and food safety. Bolloré Logistics’ ISO 9001 version 2015 certification is a value-added guarantee of its know-how in storage technology.
Last August 5, a Burger King audit brilliantly attested to our logistics chain’s ability to properly distribute products on the chain and guarantees that our collaboration will be a long one.
Mr. Louis Gascoin, the Burger King director in Côte d’Ivoire declared: “We have been satisfied with Bolloré Logistics’ service since the start of our collaboration and we look forward to moving to the final infrastructure planned near the airport. The Bolloré Logistics teams in Côte d’Ivoire and Burger King coordinated the project perfectly and continue to do so today."
Through this achievement, Bolloré Logistics can offer more thorough state-of-the-art logistics solutions in the consumer goods sector, propelling this market’s growth and structure in Côte d’Ivoire.
