Port Autonome d’Abidjan breaks new productivity records for container handling

Abidjan. 11 January 2015

Abidjan Terminal, the container terminal operator at the Port Autonome d’Abidjan (PAA), a Transport & Logistics subsidiary, has registered record productivity levels for container handling on three separate occasions, recording an average of over 100 movements per hour.

The first record was established on December 21 2015 with a productivity of 110.22 movements per hour. The threshold of 100 movements per hour was again beaten on January 6 2016 when productivity was clocked at 106 movements per hour. Finally, on January 11 2016, the teams at Abidjan Terminal raised their performance yet again to 120 movements per hour.

Abidjan Terminal is thus improving the quality of service it offers its ship owner customers, significantly reducing the time spent by ships at berth. This result on a very important competitiveness parameter will help the Port Autonome d’Abidjan to consolidate its ranking.
