At this event, Jérôme Petit, General Manager of Bolloré Logistics in Africa, presented the group's plans to improve the continent’s logistics structures. “We have already invested over 3 billion euro in 10 years in ports, which are true gateways for importing and exporting countries. Today, we want to go further and expand to other domains in order to simplify exchanges", he added.

Bolloré Transport & Logistics indeed invested 100 million euro between 2017 and 2018 to build new warehouses to meet the best international standards and modernize those that are already operating. One of its investment strategies is relocating the multimodal platforms to clear out the ports as well as developing new logistics corridors to bring the flows back up inland.

“We are aware that there are still many efforts to make. That is why we want to position ourselves as a driver of the logistical transformation in Africa by offering reliable and effective solutions, propelling the continent's transformation” concludes Jérôme Petit.
