Bolloré Transport & Logistics working to maintain supply chain continuity in Africa

Puteaux. 24 March 2020

With the Covid-19 epidemic putting pressure on the supply chain in Africa, Bolloré Transport & Logistics, the leading logistics player on the continent, is rolling out substantial resources to ensure the continuity of the transport and logistics activities that are vital to the economies of the 47 countries in which the company operates.

To address this common challenge – for which all staff are mobilized across all the supply chain (railways, ports, waterways, road transport, customs clearance, added-value warehousing) – the key pillars of Bolloré Transport & Logistics action are safety, solidarity and service continuity. The company is coordinating the efforts of its international network to devise alternative supply solutions to the closing of airports and some land borders.

In addition to protective measures and social distancing, Bolloré Transport & logistics has strengthened the prevention systems at all of its sites by fitting them with the appropriate equipment (including temperature control, disinfectants and masks). Each subsidiary is placing its expertise at the service of the authorities to effectively support the fight against the epidemic.

In the battle that Bolloré Transport & Logistics is waging alongside its customers, partners and the governments of its operating countries, the supply of staple goods and products essential to safeguarding the economic and social fabric will remain a key objective in the coming weeks.
