World Safety Day 2019: Committed and responsible employees

03 May 2019

April 28 is traditionally dedicated to World Day for Safety and Health at Work. This year, the International Labour Organization (ILO) celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2019 (1919-2019), a century of efforts to improve health and safety at work.

All over the world, as usual, Bolloré Transport & Logistics employees also mobilized for the World Safety Day.

From April 22 to 29, in 49 countries, over a hundred awareness-raising actions were carried out by some 12,000 employees. In the Comoros and Nigeria, the teams organized exercises, in real conditions, to rescue workers that fell into the water while working on a barge. Evacuation exercises, first aid sessions... have also been implemented in France, Americas, Portugal and the Netherlands.

From the UAE, to Vietnam and India, awareness-raising sessions focusing on the risks associated with the professions, often involving external professionals, were held to share experiences and best practices.
