On Thursday, September 20, 2018, over 14,000 Bolloré Transport & Logistics employees across 95 countries took part in the 3rd consecutive year of Marathon Day. This internal sporting event was created by Cyrille Bolloré, CEO of Bolloré Transport & Logistics, to raise funds for charity organisations.

Bolloré Transport & Logistics, Camrail and SEPBC (Société d'Exploitation des Parcs à Bois du Cameroun) have recently combined their activities within the Bessengué loading site to increase volumes of exported timber from Bélabo in Cameroon thus supporting the industry which today represents 30 % of the country’s non-hydrocarbons exports.

Meridian Port Services (MPS), the joint venture between Bolloré Transport & Logistics, APM Terminals and the Government of Ghana through the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA), has drawn its first $100 million from the project financing package arranged by the IFC, a member of the World Bank Group. This funding will enable MPS to continue the future deep-water port of Tema extension works before it goes into service in June 2019.

Conakry Terminal, a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports, received on Tuesday, 12 June 2018, four new container gantry cranes at the Port Autonome de Conakry container Terminal. These new equipment will improve the terminal productivity by strengthening its current capabilities and will also increase its reliability to better secure handling operations.

Abidjan Terminal, a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports, achieved a record level in May by handling 47,000 TEUs, or more than 661,000 tonnes of goods thus achieving the best performance in its entire history.

On April 9, 2018, Sitarail received four new locomotives at the Port Autonome d’Abidjan. With a power of 2,250 CV, each of these locomotives offers a traction capacity of 1,250 gross tons. They precede the arrival of a hundred platform wagons expected in Abidjan by the end of 2018.
