Abidjan RO-RO Terminal achieves record performance
The TERRA terminal which handles roll on roll off vessels at the port of Abidjan dealt with over 2,687 vehicles between 22 and 29 August 2022, chalking up a record performance. The vehicles – mainly saloon and city cars or construction machines – were transported on the MATORELL and PLEIADES SPIRIT vehicle carriers from Thailand, China, Japan, South Africa and India.

Bolloré Energy supports LK Kunegel in its energy transition
On 5 September 2022, Bolloré Energy signed an exclusive 7-year contract with the transport company LK Kunegel. Every year, Bolloré Energy will provide it with 4,000 m3 of HVO100 IZIPURE biofuel. LK Kunegel has therefore declared that it wishes to stop being supplied with fossil diesel in favour of IZIPURE, marketed by Bolloré Energy. The biofuel will be transported from the Bolloré Energy depot in Mulhouse, which has already allocated part of its storage capacity to low carbon liquid fuels. The product will be delivered directly to LK Kunegel's site in Colmar using lorries which themselves run on IZIPURE.

Timor Port welcomes two vessels on trial call before starting operations
From 14th to 17th September 2022, Timor Port carried out operational trials of the future deepwater port of Tibar Bay by welcoming its first two vessels, Kota Dunia and Seletan Damai, from Singapore’s Mariana Express Lines (MELL), a subsidiary of Singapore’s Pacific International Lines (PIL).

Bolloré Logistics and Hapag-Lloyd commit on sustainable maritime transport
Bolloré Logistics has recently signed an agreement with strategic partner Hapag-Lloyd to promote the use of marine biofuel and contribute to the reduction of their greenhouse gas emissions related to maritime transport. This commitment, starting on 1 September, for a weekly allocation of 100 TEUs transported with biofuel, will allow a reduction of around 1,500 tons of CO2 emissions in Well-to-Wake by the end of the year.

In June 2022, Terminal Roulier d’Abidjan (TERRA), which provides of handling and activities related to ro-ro ships at the Port of Abidjan, received the “Green Terminal” label issued by Bureau Veritas. This attests to the significant reduction in the environmental impact of its activities.
