Congo Terminal tops historic volume by handling over a million containers in 2021
Congo Terminal, a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports, exceeded the volume of one million shipping containers handled in 2021, having managed 1,003,734 TEUs over the course of the year. This new level of performance reflects efforts Bolloré Ports has made to increase traffic from 200,000 to 1,000,000 TEUs, in line with its commitments made as part of the plan to modernise the Port of Pointe-Noire.

Conakry Terminal awarded Green Terminal label
Conakry Terminal, a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports and operator of the container terminal of the Autonomous Port of Conakry, has been granted the Green Terminal label following the audit conducted on 12 November 2021 by Bureau Veritas.

Bolloré Logistics launches its "SEAalternative" offer
Bolloré Logistics announces the launch of SEAalternative, a new offer to reduce CO2 emissions from maritime transport through the use of alternative fuels such as LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), biogas and Biofuel. This new solution is for one-off and regular shipments across all geographical areas.

Bolloré Energy launches "IZIPURE", a low-carbon fuel produced from hydrogenated vegetable oil
Bolloré Energy announces the launch of a synthetic diesel (HVO) under the name IZIPURE. This new fuel produced from animal fats and used cooking oils and processed by Bolloré’s partner NESTE, proves to be an effective ecological alternative to fossil diesel. It reduces CO2 emissions by at least 85% and fine particle emissions by 30%.

After an audit of several months performed by the authority of Brazil Customs, Bolloré Logistics Brazil was officially certified in late November as an AEO – Authorized Economic Operator attending all the requirements expected.

Bolloré Ports continues its vaccination campaign among its employees
For several weeks now, Bolloré Ports has been conducting a large-scale vaccination campaign against Covid-19. Of the 6,497 people employed by Bolloré Ports, 4,529 have now been fully vaccinated and protected against the disease, which represents more than 70% of the workforce.

Bolloré Logistics is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne-Laure Marchal as Head of Cosmetics for the Americas. Based in New York, USA, reporting to Bolloré Logistics Americas’ VP of Sales, Marc Sawaya, Anne-Laure will be responsible for supporting the company’s strategy for growth in this key vertical. Moroni Terminal finances an initiative to provide four schools on the island of Grande Comore with drinking water
On 20 November 2021, the Bolloré Ports subsidiary, Moroni Terminal, started off a water purification project to provide drinking water to four schools on the island of Grande Comore. Moroni Terminal - in conjunction with the NGO 2 Mains - worked alongside public authorities to improve access to drinking water and raise youth awareness about good hygiene practices to reduce the spread of waterborne diseases.

Camille Contamine appointed head of public affairs at Bolloré Logistics
Bolloré Logistics announces the appointment of Camille Contamine as Head of Public Affairs for Bolloré Logistics Europe. Reporting to Philippe de Crécy, Bolloré Logistics VP Air Freight Europe, Camille will be in charge of relations with institutional bodies and professional associations on all of the company’s business issues, particularly in the air and maritime transport sectors, as well as on matters related to customs.

Freetown Terminal holds blood drive for victims injured in tanker explosion
On 5 November 2021, 144 people were killed and hundreds were injured in a tanker explosion in the industrial area of Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, in West Africa. In response to this emergency, Freetown Terminal organised a blood drive on 12 November in partnership with the National Save Blood Services.
