Bolloré Logistics participates in strenghtening Luxembourg's health systems

Puteaux. 03 August 2020

The Bolloré Logistics hub in Luxembourg recently received a machine to make surgical masks on behalf of the Luxembourg company ALLPHARMA. Imported from China via a cargo plane provided by the Cargolux airline, this machine, which specialises in making surgical masks, has a production capacity of one million masks per week.

Within a few weeks, ALLPHARMA will have six machines able to produce 4 million surgical masks and 650,000 FFP2 type masks per week. These will supply the national network of pharmacies, health establishments, institutions and anticipate needs in the event of a new wave of the epidemic.

Thierry Derochette & Nicolas Melicas

Director and Head Pharmacist of ALLPHARMA

As a partner and pharmacist, we had to have an answer and a solution in order to solve the problem of import dependency for elements that are essential to the protection and safety of caregivers, vulnerable people and of course the population as a whole.

The new order, consisting of five packages with a total weight of 1,600 kg, was handled by the Bolloré Logistics teams in China who worked together to manage administrative procedures (in particular customs compliance documents) and ensure the transport of the packages from warehouses in Shanghai before shipment by air. On arrival, the packages were placed in the Bolloré Logistics warehouse, awaiting delivery to the customer.
