Bolloré Transport & Logistics takes action for Pink October

Puteaux. 19 October 2021

Throughout the month of October 2021, Bolloré Transport & Logistics has been supporting the fight against breast cancer by taking part in the “Pink October” global initiative.

Breast cancer affected more than 2.3 million women in 2020, and is now the most common cancer in the world. Against this background, Bolloré Transport & Logistics is once again committing to a number of actions around the world. The aim is simple: to raise awareness among employees through information and dialogue, while stressing the importance of screening.

In a number of countries, including France, Singapore, Angola, Benin, and others in Central Europe, employees will be able to attend prevention workshops led by health professionals. The company’s subsidiaries in Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea and Italy will be inviting female employees to attend free screening sessions at partner health centres, or in their workplace. In Miami, in the US, a partnership has been initiated with Florida Mobile Mammography to offer 3D mammography to female employees.

Bolloré Transport & Logistics has recently supported the NGO Echos Médias – MSSC (Mes Seins Sans Cancer) in Côte d'Ivoire by setting up a free screening centre. The company will also make a donation to the Saint-Joseph Hospital Foundation (Paris 14th), to support the work of the hospital group’s Breast Care Centre. Further donations will be made in various other countries to local community organisations working to support breast cancer research and treatment.
