Bolloré Transport & Logistics Tanzania obtains AEO Certification

Puteaux. 13 April 2022

Bolloré Transport & Logistics Tanzania acquired the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification for its regional businesses in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. The certification acknowledges Bolloré Transport & Logistics Tanzania as a secure, reliable and compliant trade partner.

The process of obtaining the AEO status took place under the auspices of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) and crucially the AEO is, in fact, a World Customs Organisation (WCO) programme, aligned with the Single Customs Territory business processes.

Eldon Khuty

General Manager of Bolloré Transport & Logistics Tanzania

Achieving AEO status in Tanzania not only confirms our commitment to high safety and security standards in global trade, but also serves as a strong argument for our customers when choosing a logistics partner in Africa. The certification will enable us to offer an even more efficient service and deliver better value for our customers

Obtaining AEO certification requires a considerable investment of time and resources and currently only nine organisations in Tanzania have been accredited. This certification gives Bolloré Transport & Logistics a competitive edge in providing our customers with greater security. For instance, tracking the transportation of their goods, thereby enabling faster and more secure customs procedures.
