Moroni Terminal trains its employees to drive reach stackers to reinforce its operational capacities

Puteaux. 02 September 2021

From 4 to 24 June 2021, Moroni Terminal, a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports, with the assistance of the Pan-African Port Training Centre (CFPP) of Bolloré Transport & Logistics, organised a training session on driving reach stackers for several of its employees. Thaourati Youssouf, who is one of the ten people trained, is the first woman within Moroni Terminal to obtain this position.

Salifou Konaté, expert trainer of the CFPP based in Abidjan, was in charge of the training and made the trip to Moroni Terminal to transmit his theoretical and operational knowledge of port trades as well as all the specificities related to driving reach stackers in real operating conditions.

Thaourati Youssouf

Reach stacker driver at Moroni Terminal

It is a great honour for me to be the first female reach stacker driver at Moroni Terminal. Thanks to the training I received through the CFPP, I am able to manoeuvre and control this handling vehicle on a daily basis to accomplish my work efficiently while also understanding precisely how it operates.

Bolloré Transport & Logistics is committed to promoting the inclusion of women at all levels of the company and the feminisation of jobs through its HR policy and its charter dedicated to diversity. Its Pan-African Port Training Centre, open to all Bolloré Transport & Logistics employees, has trained more than 5,600 people since it opened in 2008, and welcomes each year more and more women.
