The world food programme renews its logistics partnership with Bolloré Transport & Logistics
02 November 2020
The World Food Programme (WFP), the leading global humanitarian organisation in the fight against hunger and winner of the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize, renewed its partnership with Bolloré Transport & Logistics Cameroon on 1 October 2020. The company will be responsible for the majority of WFP’s logistics operations for Cameroon, Chad, the Central African Republic, Nigeria and Congo Brazzaville.
A long-standing partner of Bolloré Transport & Logistics Cameroon, WFP has once again entrusted the management of customs formalities as well as the stevedoring, warehousing and delivery of goods intended for humanitarian operations.
From the ports of Kribi and Douala, Bolloré Transport & Logistics will, on behalf of WFP, manage the import, transit or re-export of foodstuffs and non-foodstuff products via containers, conventional or bulk. To that end, it will rally 46 local SMEs specialised in the road transport of goods, as well as the services of the railway operator Camrail.
