Trucks that use B100 only are now eligible for the Crit'Air 1 label

Puteaux. 04 April 2022

– Bolloré Energy clients using KOOLZA 100 fuel will be authorised, from now on, to circulate freely in low-emission zones –

Bolloré Energy is delighted with the announcement made by the President of the French Republic on 30 March 2022 on the occasion of the 76th National Congress of the FNSEA to make B100 exclusive vehicles eligible to the Crit’Air 1 label 1. This decision will allow carriers and clients of Bolloré Energy who use KOOLZA 100 to circulate freely in low-emission zones.

Produced from rapeseed that is cultivated and transformed in France by Valtris Champlor at its production site, KOOLZA 100 is an ecological and sustainable alternative to diesel. In particular, it benefits from an equivalent range and reduces CO2 emissions by 60% as well as fine particle emissions by 80%.

Aimed solely at professional clients, this new biofuel is compatible with the majority of trucks available on the market, significantly reducing their carbon impact without the need to invest in a new fleet.

Bolloré Energy is also committed to promote the use of this fuel with its hydrocarbon transport suppliers to support the logistics of the oil products that it distributes. Thus, in 2022, more than 40% of deliveries on behalf of Bolloré Energy will be made by trucks using the new low-carbon fuels, with the aim of reaching 100% by 2023.
