Timor Port awarded EDGE 'Level 2 : Advanced' certification for Tibar Bay
Timor Port has obtained EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) ‘Level 2: Advanced’ certification for the Tibar Bay deep-water port concession. This certification, a part of Bolloré Ports’ Green Terminal label, covers all its buildings as well as some of its technical installations. It verifies the savings in energy (direct and embodied in materials) and water that will be achieved. In total, Timor Port will achieve more than 40 % savings in energy relating to the construction of infrastructure.

Bolloré Logistics partners with IAG Cargo to purchase one million litres of sustainable aviation fuel
27 June 2022: IAG Cargo, the cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG) reports that it has supported Bolloré Logistics to reduce its CO2 supply chain emissions by purchasing one million litres of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The SAF will be delivered in to two shipments, in July 2022 and November 2022 and will reduce approximately 2,400 tonnes of CO2 on a net lifecycle basis.

Bolloré Logistics continues its carbon offsetting programme for all LCL shipments
Bolloré Logistics continues to implement the carbon neutrality programme it launched in 2020 in order to offset all residual CO2 emissions produced by the LCL (less than container) shipments of its subsidiary TSL – specialised in maritime consolidation. This year, the company decided to commit to a sustainable energy project in China in partnership with First Climate. Since 2020, 26,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent have been offset in partnership with various environmental organisations.

Côte d'Ivoire Terminal receives 14 electric tractors
In May, Côte d’Ivoire Terminal (CIT) took delivery of 14 APM 75T HE electric tractors, ordered from the manufacturer Gaussin and for use at the second container terminal at the Port of Abidjan. This initial delivery follows a historic order for 36 100% electric tractors that was placed in April 2021 for a total of 6.5 billion CFA francs (€9.9 million). The remaining 22 tractors will be delivered in a few weeks’ time, ready to be put into service in November.

Cargolux and Bolloré Logistics sign SAF agreement
Luxembourg/Puteaux, 13 June 2022 – Cargolux and long-term partner Bolloré Logistics have signed an agreement for the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in joint operations. The deal, covering 800,000 liters of SAF forms part of the Cargolux SAF program. This initiative will enable Bolloré Logistics to reduce its Scope 3 Greenhous Gas Emissions by at least 2,200 tonnes of CO2e, a reflection of both parties’ commitment to sustainable operations.

Thailand – Bolloré Logistics has opened yesterday SMILE HUB, its brand-new warehouse and distribution centre in Thailand. Mr Hubert Colaris, Economic Counsellor of the French Embassy to Thailand, honoured the event with his presence. Also present were the management teams of Bolloré Logistics and Frasers Property Industrial Thailand (FPIT), including Mr Fabricio Protti, Deputy Managing Director of the Bolloré Group, Mr Thierry Ehrenbogen, CEO of Bolloré Logistics, and Mr Sopon Racharaksa, CEO of FPIT.

Bolloré Transport & Logistics Ghana implements a special storage solution adapted to the automotive industry
On April 2022, Bolloré Transport & Logistics Ghana received a total of 555 vehicles on behalf of CFAO Ghana PLC, part of the CFAO Group, at the Tema port. After leaving India, the vehicles were shipped in 2 batches before arriving at destination. In all, this operation will have lasted one month requiring an end-to-end mobilization of Bolloré Transport & Logistics’ teams in Ghana.

SOGECO, reference logistics operator of the cotton sector in Mauritania
As part of a partnership signed with the Malian Textile Development Company (CMDT), SOGECO carried out the unloading operations of 165 trucks from Mali for a total cargo of 22,676 cotton balls, rounding up to more than 5,000 tons.

Timor Port receives 2 tugs, 2 STS gantries and 4 RTG gantries
On 16 May 2022, Timor Port, a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports, received two tugs, two STS gantries and four RTG gantry cranes for the Tibar Bay deep sea port concession. The delivery was made on a semi-submersible vessel specialised in gantry transportation.

Owendo Container Terminal (OCT), operator of the container terminal of the Port of Owendo, has been granted the Green Terminal label following an audit conducted by Bureau Veritas on 4 May 2022. This label rewards the efforts made by the company to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment by implementing eco-responsible measures.

Bolloré Transport & Logistics supports coffee Kenyan farmers by organizing the first direct shipment of coffee to South Korea
Bolloré Transport & Logistics was recently commissioned to handle a logistic operation organizing the first direct shipment of coffee by Kenyan farmers to South Korea without the use of a coffee brokerage. This was made possible thanks to sector reforms by the government of Kenya that now allow farmers to market their produce directly with a view to fetch a better price for their produce.
